United Devices cancer "research" prizes

Well, all those hard at work moving TA Seti up the list can count on me to stick to it. I was just reading UD's terms for awarding prizes, and of course, I was reminded of what a wonderful land I live in.

UNITED DEVICES APRIL POWER PLAYERS CASH CONTEST

Official Rules 3/31/01

Available only to legal residents of the United States, The United Kingdom, and Canada, excluding residents of Puerto Rico and Quebec, eighteen years of age and older as of April 1, 2001.

I might as well move to Puerto Rico, the weather's better. :disgust:

That does stink. But, at least for me, I'm not in this for any prizes. This is fun and socially responsible, so it is a win-win for me.

PS For any who are confused by the UD statement, it isn't their decision to exclude Quebec and Puerto Rico. That is an unfortunate side-effect of local laws in those two locations. As this thing continues, UD has expressed the desire to expand their award "coverage" to other countries. It is mainly a matter or researching the particulars of local law in those locations ... an expensive process that requires highly paid lawyers. 😉

Just look at a Publisher's Clearinghouse form. Who do they exclude? Should be the same group.
