I know, you can tell me it will show the nation how good and brave the people on that flight were, but doesn't anyone else think a movie about 9/11 is completely tasteless?

Maybe it's just me being a New Yorker, and the fact that my uncle was in the twin towers when they were first attacked in 1993, but I find a movie about 9/11 just wrong, and despicable.

Yeah, you can also tell me I should have expected a movie about it sooner, but those images are still fresh in my mind, and I really don't think anyone wants to watch the towers collapse again, on the silver screen, or not.

I think its necessary..as most people in this country don't seem to have an attention span beyond tonights TV guide.
America was attacked in an unprovoked and vicious manner and thousands of innocent civilians died as a result.
We need to remember for the same reason we remember Pearl Harbor.
If we are gullible enough to believe everyone plays by our rules we are going to get burned.

Very well said !

And if you find it inappropriate .. then just don't see it. But feel free to talk about it any way you see fit 😉

Pearl Harbor, Schindler's List, Hotel Rwanda, Passion of the Christ.... all these movies touch upon what I think are sensitive subjects as well. United 93 just hits home harder and that's why people are uncomfortable with it. Tastleless? Maybe, but Hollywood has every right to put out whatever they want and if America doesn't want it, it won't sell. My guess is future generations won't feel that way and watch it to learn and get a sense of the event much the same way we do when we watch Pearl Harbor.
