I know, you can tell me it will show the nation how good and brave the people on that flight were, but doesn't anyone else think a movie about 9/11 is completely tasteless?

Maybe it's just me being a New Yorker, and the fact that my uncle was in the twin towers when they were first attacked in 1993, but I find a movie about 9/11 just wrong, and despicable.

Yeah, you can also tell me I should have expected a movie about it sooner, but those images are still fresh in my mind, and I really don't think anyone wants to watch the towers collapse again, on the silver screen, or not.

If they donated all the earnings to charity I would'nt mind. But if the producers kept any of it,

Naw, I don't see it as a big deal. I mean, they made movies about Pearl Harbor? Hell, every major war for that matter.

We just have to trust that it'll be in good taste.

i saw the inside man friday and saw the trailer for this. i had previously seen the teaser trailer that didn't show any movie footage, but this was an actual preview.

the whole premise behind the movie is just fvcked up. they do not need to use 9-11 to make $$ for the movie industry IMO. it's just not an issue that should be made into a movie IMO.

but then again I'm sure I'll see it so i guess i'm a hypocrite heh.

I think any speculation or "hollywooding" they would have to do to the story to make it a movie since it is not a documentary is just an insult so soon after it has happened.

yah that's a very good point. but wars are much different than attacking innocent people who aren't even involved in the military.

Except Pearl Harbor wasn't five years ago.

Yeah, that's when I saw the full trailer, and I just got a huge feeling of anger.

Pearl Harbor was more than 50 years ago, 9/11 isn't even 5 years ago yet.

At least the movie(or production) was approved by the families of the victims on United 93 when I watched the behind the scene stuff when I got to the movies a bit early.

I really do not see how that matters.

Really? How does it matter?

Exactly how much time must pass after a horrific tragedy before it goes from being in bad taste to A-OK to make a movie about? If not 5 years, how about 7? If not 7, how about 10?

my issue with it is that i thought i heard that they're not even sure if thats exactly the way it happened...with the passengers taking over the plane and all that.

One 9/11 movie i DO want to see, is Great New Wonderful
