very seldom do the members of a union vote with the union leaders. i would like to know what percentage of the members do vote like the leaders claim they do.

"real Labor Party"? As in?

Anyway - it's interesting how the unions are trying to grasp at anything they can now to hold onto their power that's slipping away...
They've become what they used to fight...

They need to fill the Churches that are in power now.

That's the answer, Union Mob leaders have to become Priests.

Can't find enough other threads to bash church goers in?

sorry but this is wrong. Higher paying union jobs drive up the cost of living for all jobs of equal class (by class I mean level of skill/education/training required and availability of a workforce) Which in turn forces them overseas.

how you going to outsorce cops or dockworkers or riverboat captains or DOD workers? You can't. And thier unions and salaries are stronger and better paid today than ever before. Again any job that can be outsourced is, union or not. even minium wage can't compete with $100 a month in china. Any union job that can't be is paid more than ever.

Damn that is a good idea. I bet it would be easy to set up a crane to be run by some dude in india over a high speed link.

you obviously didnt think about what I was saying. I didnt say the jobs that cant be outsourced are being outsourced. I said that your statement "The jobs that can be outsourced will irregaurdless of unions or not" is false. Because if a dockworker is getting paid $30 an hour, you can be damn sure the factory worker is going to make the same, and since the dockworker drove up the cost of the factory workers, their(the factory workers) jobs are more likely to get shipped overseas.

Not only that, but the inflated wages of the union dockworker now stifles the possibility of any of those factory jobs coming back.
