Uninterruptible Power Supply Question: Would this model suffice for brownouts?

Brownouts are defined when the utility power falls below a predetermined limit of -5 -10 or -15% of nominal value of ~115VAC. They can last for hours sometimes days. :Q If your UPS has a buck/boost function in its line conditioning feature, it will make up the difference via transformer induction. The difference is small in most cases with PC UPS so even if the transformer bb function is dedicated to 100 VA it should be fine. Remember, it's the make up difference off nominal. If your line drops to 80VAC you should throw the main CB and call your utility company, this is really a blackout! :Q

im referrring to brownouts that only last a matter of seconds, the guys entire downstairs is on one cirsuit. Including the plug for his PC, when the water pump or heat kicks on, theres a brownout.

That would be considered a sag. In this case the mentioned UPS would switch to battery for the duration of the sag.
