With president Musk knee capping agencies and programs left and right, what will the unintended consequences be?

Food safety, food recalls. Takes a lot of data collection and analysis to determine the source of a foodborne illness outbreak, such as Salmonella or E. coli. No one to do the work, thus more people sicken and possibly die. Fewer inspectors in meat packing plants, or anywhere food is produced. Makes gas station Sushi look almost worth the risk

Slash Medicaid. Rural areas, about 25% of patients have Medicaid for their health care. Small rural hospitals cannot survive when 25% of their patients don't have healthcare coverage, thus already struggling hospitals close.

Understaffed Air Traffic controllers... what could go wrong?

Are republicans this stupid, or do they just not give a fuck?

What unintended consequences do you see, aside from soaring unemployment, inflation, a depression, or even a recession?

Depression is when the economy fails to recover from recession. IOW, it's worse. We had a great recession at 2008, we had the Great Depression from around 1929 until WW II.

We might have a doozy of a time dealing with the bird flu.

Storms will be more frequent and more severe as well as droughts.

Hurricanes and tornados will be more frequent and more destructive.

Famine will ravage the planet.

Immigration issues and fallout will exacerbate across the planet.

Imagine you're in a jet-liner and the computers and electronics systems go crazy. Maybe from a 100 year solar storm. All the gauges are spinning around, 1/2 the controls are inoperative, but the pilots don't know which ones until they try them and a couple minutes later it's different controls that aren't working and none of it makes any sense. The pilot and copilot snap. They hear ATC's shouting at them in the cockpit but the ATC's can't hear the pilots' responses. The passengers are shrieking, babies are crying, the cabin crew have lost their minds. The plane starts pitching from side to side.

US Bureau of Reclamation operates hundreds of dams, dams that produce electricity, provide water, help to prevent flooding, will be less reliable when understaffed.

TVA, Tennessee Valley Authority, a government agency, provides power to 10 million people utilizing 29 hydroelectric dams, in addition to coal, natural gas, and nuclear reactors, all to be understaffed?

I think the consequences are fully intended. It's just that people do not want any self understanding. The truth is that miserable and powerless people would unconsciously prefer everybody die than they feel they are suffering unheard and alone. Government did not meet their needs which is natural because what people imagine they need is insane. So nothing will work when the number majority of voters feel that way whether they know it or not. I doubt any of you believe this.

We have slid off of the blades edge, bleeding, we are falling into the abyss. Hope is long lost. We are doomed. Peace is an illusion. Poverty and Despair will reign for generations. At least, that's my sugar coated observation.

Actually the future is not that dark.
There are chaos, but people will bring order, the issue?
The country is totally lost, the only way to survive is to form new countries from the US...

I hope TVA will staff the Kingston Gas Plant we are currently designing and constructing.

I'm sure they've modeled all outcomes. If people just roll over and take it, fine. If people fight back then institute martial law which is even better.

The wealthy elite don't use FEMA, Medicaid, SNAP, VA benefits etc so why should they want to keep them? That's just stolen profits to them. If it's kept, it'll be privatized. Soon you'll be seeing your VA doctor on a kiosk at a Carl's Jr.

Their modeling shows unlimited wealth and power for the mega-billionaires, and at that point, they said we're done and slapped each other on the back and went to lunch.

And has another BIG disadvantage.
What happens if the producers and the services decides to increase the cost massively? Making for even the rich be forbidden?

Even Moonbeam gets it right now and then. :p
Repubs have yearned to "starve the beast" for decades. Sure, they don't actually want shit to hit the fan on their watch but obviously Trumpism is fully intended. The cruelty is a feature, not a bug.

The big question is whether they fuck up so bad that Dems can again crash the party (see GW Bush) despite moribund leadership.
