Uninstalling "nVidia Firewall"

The only way I found to do it was uninstall the "Nvidia Network Manager" or whatever its called. Sucks too because you lose all of the networking features.

If there is another way to do it, I would love to know. I haven't really looked into it yet, been working on other stuff.

They haven't fixed that yet?

Nividia makes good chipsets, but this and their perpetual IDE issues made me lose respect for their chipsets.

Am I the only person that has never had any trouble with the nvidia firewall or IDE drivers 😕

Their NIC drivers in 5.11 is screwed up though.

IDE drivers seem ok,as to the firewall I remember reading when they finally fixed the problem, it uses more CPU usage then before, personally I would go with a good router and third party software firewall.

Well, the best reason to not use it is if nVidia decided it was too much hassle to actually fix it, why subject yourself to that mess? 😛 Just uninstall the nVidia nForce Network Manager. I can't remember if it's a separate entity under Add/Remove Programs or if it's under nVidia Drivers and has its own check box. I haven't installed that thing in years.

It's to bad nvidia never got around fixing all the problems with the nvidia firewall. When I was using it, some times it work just fine, other day's it will kill my connection. I also had problems with it killing my downlolads speed.

It was more than likely a hardware issue, similar to why their PureVideo decoder doesn't work on half the (6-series) cards that have it (including my 6800GT 🙁).
