hey im done with linux and deleted the partition its in through windows using disk management... but when the comp boots up i still get the select your operating system screen... how to get rid of that? also, is there i way i can 'fuse' the new empty space i have with an existing partition? i dont want to format my rig... or should i just create another partition and link it to a folder (forget what thats called) in the original partition

thanks!

Repair your MBR. Boot from the Windows cd (win2k or XP) and get into the recovery or repair console. Type something like fixmbr and you should be done. Please search next time.

To resize partitions with Windows you need something like Partiton Magic, MS doesn't make any free tools.

arent there any free tools?

You can't add the space to the existing windows partition, but you can format and partition it, just can't edit the sizes of partitions, which is kinda risky anyhow... in winXP, right click my computer select manage....
