Uninstalling games

Right here goes, XP went wrong about a month ago. So I re-installed it over the top so I would not loose any of my games. The only problem is that when I want to un-install games it says that it cannot find the uninst file?, or something like that. The only way of getting rid of them is to delete them. Someone told me I also have to delete the files out of the registry. But how do I do this????

there's a program that will look through your registry and delete broken links. So you can delete the directory and run this program to clean your registry.
