Uninstalling DirectX 8.0 in Win2k?!?!

I am in the need to uinstall direct x 8.0 so I can install 7.0, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how I can go about doing this in windows 2000? The only 2 direct x uninstallers I have seen wont work with Windows 2000!
