uninstalling ATI drivers

Hey, I think this is a dumb question, but I just want to review and make sure I'm correct..

I currently have X1800XT in my express slot..
I uninstall all ATI drivers, software, etc.
reboot into safemode.
driver clean all the ATI stuff,
reboot again.
turn off.
proceed to installing the 8800GTS (newly bought).
turn on and install new (latest) nvidia drivers..

so did I get the procedure correctly? can anyone confirm? thanks.. and if there are any drivers that I should install? currently I have the omegadrivers.. is there anything similar for the nvidia party?
