i was uninstalling a program the other day. after using the uninstaller that came with the program, i went into windows explorer to make sure there wasnt any lingering files/folders from the program. i found that there was still a .dll file there. i attempted to delete the file & folder, but it says that it's in use. any way to force a delete even if it says it's in use? im using windows 2000 pro btw.

some dll may still be in used (loaded) in the system ...
good uninstaller will remove the dll file after a restart (it will add a task to the startup to delete those "protected" file on the next windows boot)...
just try to restart and the file should be gone ...

if it's still there (after restart), boot into dos mode and remove it manually ...
