Uninstall/Reinstall of Flash for MSIE 5.5

For some reason or another, Flash has stopped displaying in Internet Explorer for me. I was going to try and go to macromedia's page and download the installer, but it seems you need flash to view the page (and since it thinks the plugin is loaded, it doesn't offer to do it for me). Anyone know how I can remove it from the system and start anew? TIA!

Try this link down there. It sends you to the page entitle 'Test Macromedia Shockwave and Flash playes'. Basically, if you don't have them it installs them again for you.

Either that or you could download the latest Shockwave player that has the Flash player intergrated into it.

Tried that (and reinstalled shockwave 8.5), no dice. It's like I have flash installed, b/c I get the controls when I right click where a flash movie is supposed to be. They just don't show up.

Oh well, I'll be building up the new box here shortly, just as soon as I acquire a board and a HDD. I'll put a fresh version of windows on the new drive and hope it goes.
