At this point, it sounds like all you could do. If it's a big issue, then you might try seeing if it's possible to reinstall into the existing directory, and then trying to uninstall it.

I'd probably delete the entire game directory and then use a registry cleaner like RegScrubXP or RegCleaner and see what it finds. You could then delete the registry entires using the cleaners or know where to start if you want to do it manually.

Let us know how it goes. I have the same problem with two EA Sports games. MVP Baseball 2003 and one of their NBA basketball demos. Click on uninstall and nothing happens. I've put off doing anything about it but now I'm down to 10% HD space. Maybe a combo of deleting directories and running CCleaner may do the trick.

hadsus,

i tried using the uninstall in ccleaner and of course, it doesn't work either. i'm going to have to do it manually, which i hate because you don't know what dead files are laying around.

i'll keep you posted.

Yup, I tried it also this afternoon. I think the uninstall function in CCleaner does nothing more than run the uninstall executeable that is provided by the games themselves. I suppose the next option would be to just delete the directories where the games reside then run CCleaner on the registry. I'm not quite ready to do that yet. It does suck though to have about 2 gig of files doing nothing but taking up space.

i just downloaded regscrubxp but i'm worried about using it after searching the forum and reading what ppl have to say.

i have 95 problems and i'm very tempted to just fix all but i'm so worried that it might screw up my registry!

any thoughts?

hadsus,

i did as i said i would and regxpscrub picked up a couple of stray registry keys. i'm going to run regcleaner and see how that goes.

I used Norton SystemWorks weekly to fix up windows issues including registry problems. But when I ran CCleaner it picked up a boatload of things that Norton left alone. I heard that CCleaner is aggressive. BTW, I think that EA has a help section if you go to their website that tells you step by step how to uninstall some games manually. My game wasn't mentioned but don't know about yours.
