i was trying to uninstall counter-strike and then reinstall it. but during the uninstall process, windows xp locked up so i have to manually reboot the computer. i thought it was just a one-time thing but everytime i try to uninstall it (4 times already), xp continue to lock up. My problem is that I cant seem to uninstall it cleanly and when i try to start the program now, xp say it cant find the cs.exe file.

When xp lock up during the uninstall process, does it delete all the files before the lock up occurs? If so, should I keep on trying to uninstall even though it continue to lock up? or is there something else i can do to uninstall it. help me please!! thanx!!

windows prolly deleted all the files up to the point it froze. which during that time it prolly deleted the cs.exe file thats why you can't find it. you should just delete the CS folder and reinstall that should be almost the same thing. i don't believe CS adds any extra files anywhere else like in the windows directory.
