Unified Filed Theory, When will it be discovered?

I was just wondering what you physics majors and amatuer physists think the Unified Filed theory will be discovered.

Predictions?

Personally, I have a hunch it will be on the 5th of may 2032

Also, say which theory you think is in the frontrunner for Unified Filed Theory?

I am guessing strings at the current time 🙂
 
I'm not exactly a physics major, but IMHO, strings appear the way to go right now.

When this 'Unified Theory' will be finished? Remember, this is science: things can change in the matter of a few days 🙂

Frontrunner: Nothing published that I've read, but then again, I read mainly english.

Anyway, yes it appears that superstring theory is the way to go. Of course, the whole concept of the project is get an equation about an inch long to describe everything in the universe, and right now we have one that is about 1.5 inches long...

Who knows when it will be finally finished, it could be tomorrow it could be 30 years...
 
Don't you guys forget about history? Everytime someone has come up with a Theory that they thought PROVED EVERYTHING, it didnt. When Newton thought of his laws for gravity, that proved everything buecause it worked in all cases. And then Einstein with his General Relativity. That worked in all cases as well and proved that newton was wrong. And then Quantom Gravity that proved the Einstein was wrong in reference frames where there is lots of gravity. And dont forget Quantum Mechanics. I dont think one exists. I think that we will always search for it but will need 2 theorys to prove things. Such as Relativity and Quantom Mechanics to prove Quantom Gravity that sort of thing.

Thats no sh!t. Just a year ago the Clinton-lovers were all speaking how "Evolution" has been proven by scientific fact. It turned out that they wanted to use micro adaptations to explain macro evolutions. *sarcastic laughter*
