404 coup not found. Rioting, vandalism and looting are not free speech. Preventing agitators from doing so is not fascism.

The mayors of Chicago and Portland are increasing the assertiveness of police...they must be traitors too.

Inserting federal officers against the express wishes of state & local authorities is usurpation of their legitimate powers & standard fascist technique. It's often a precursor to a larger effort.

All of that may be true or whatever, but come on.

The voters are anonymous, so it's near impossible to prosecute them. And just voting for the tyrant isn't criminal itself. That said, they can be shamed for their immoral and unethical beliefs and voting.

Propagandists and enablers, though. Absolutely. They are the soft traitors that allow the powerful traitors to do what they do.

Of course it is. It's supposed to be. It's been happening for 40 years on the right, as they've talked themselves into it. It has just sped up over the past 4 years when an actual Strongman has come out and promised it to the right-wing authoritarians who are required to make it possible.

You can't have a totalitarian government if you don't have some Brown Shirts Black Shirts Camo Shirts/MAGA Hats armed and ready to murder their fellow citizens. Watching the Local Police, Federal Goons and MAGA Hats communicating with each other over the past few months should make anyone who isn't a right-wing authoritarian alarmed. When the rubber meets the road, they'll work together to put down protesters Riots™. And the Collaborators and Enablers will come out to argue that they're just putting down Riots™, so just ignore it and look at this shiny bauble here instead.

This is why the whole Riots™!: Riots™ Everywhere! talking point is being stressed CONSTANTLY over right-wing propaganda. Getting people to just yawn when outright political suppression starts.

Very boring, indeed.

Banality of evil.

There is no larger effort. The federal presence is gone, yet vandalism and violence continues. Did you see what some of the remaining protestors did to that poor motorist? Reginald Denny all over again. I don’t see fascism, I see anarchy.

Incorrect. No larger effort has materialized, that's all. We really don't know what this incident was about, either.

There is no larger effort. Trump blundered his way through yet another crisis. As for the incident in question, you’re right, we don’t know and we don’t have all the details...there is ample video, but it looks like lawless anarchy to me. If only we had an organization chartered to protect people from unprovoked violent assault.

I agree, I wish there was such an organization but they would need to be unmarked and anonymous with no accountability, maybe they could wear a similar uniform, like a brown shirt or something. They should also be able to snatch up any person without or without cause.

After all, that’s the best way to handle unruly citizens in a democracy such as ours. It is how Obama did things when he was president and you liked Obama right?

The man went back to his white Ford truck, which was parked nearby, and proceeded to drink several bottles of Miller High Life he had stashed away over the next half hour.

At one point, the man got into a verbal altercation with another person on Northeast Sandy and pulled out a hatchet from his truck, Pape said. He also yelled several racist slurs at the person, according to Pape.

So story is
Racists Drunk driver threatens person with hatchet.
Receives beating from unauthorized individuals not in the police union.

You conveniently left out the part about the woman at the scene who was apparently robbed and assaulted, and the driver somehow got pulled into the melee when he stopped to help her. Still a lot of holes in the story, no justification for the brutal assault on the driver.

That's not what the story says nor what the video shows. The truck had already been crashed when the woman showed up & was tackled. I'm not trying to excuse that, either.

The story literally cited the altercation outside a 7-11 involving a woman and the police stated that the driver may have tried to help her. There are several videos out that capture different moments in the sequence of events and the escalation to violence. In watching the clips, Escape from New York, the Warriors and other 1970s urban dystopia came to mind.

Portland Police can't stop breaking the law and assaulting medics
Randomly beating people is a great way to prove you aren't violent. Further, having 20 of your friends watch is a great way to prove that it's just a few bad apples.

People really need to better internalize the fact that the police are rioting in response to calls to end police impunity for committing crimes.
