FYI - this is factory refurbished.

FWIW - I bought the 2 line version of this phone a little over a year ago. Used it for about 2 weeks, and it sat in the closet until last weekend when I sold it at a yard sale for $5.

Before anyone chimes in with "but this is only 900 Mhz, not 2.4 Ghz" - Its 900 Mhz Digital Spread Spectrum. I have one of these and it beats the pants off of 2.4 Ghz analog.

i bought a uniden 2.4GHz DSS digital. it sucks. worse than any 900 MHz i ve ever used. i am returning it.
i dont know about uniden !!

This is NOT a good deal for a used phone. I got a Unident recently, looks the same, but is was NEW and had a speakerphone and answering machine with three mailboxes for $20 after MIR.

Where from? I'm looking for a cheap cordless phone with speakerphone (for those calls to rebate centers) and answering machine. $20 sounds perfect!

I got it during that deal where you had to buy a Bell caller ID for $20 and then got a $59 rebate if you got a phone as well. The deal is over, but after the rebate, I only paid $20. It was a Uniden EXA2955 at Circuit City. List was $60, but even the list would better a better deal than this used phone for $40.

the battery in my Uniden cordless 900mhz just crapped out 5 mins ago while I was on phone, for like the 3rd time. Battery didnt last 8 months!!
