too bad it costs like 50$ more even AR not to mention it doesn't come with an additional handset... i don't know about everyone else, but i'll be damned if i spend over 80$ on a home phone.

Sorry, too many bad experiences with off-brand cordless phones over the years. Panasonic only here.

Uniden is not off-brand. If you havent heard of the brand youve been living in a cave. I had one of their phones for about 7 years now, I believe it was a 700 Mhz phone. Handled being thrown at several walls and doors during its lifetime. Works better than my 2 current sony's and 1 panasonic. Never buy a sony home phone...

This is a real nice set. My parents have the older single handset model at home and its serverd them evry well. Workin great avbout a year after purchase.
