ever since i got my laptop, we have 5 computers to connect to the internet and our old linksys only had 4 ports to spare. airlink+ router appeared to be a cheap quick fix to the problem with its wireless capabilities. it was a smooth transition except one flaw - my roomate is getting some really crappy (500+) ping for counter-strike. funny thing is another online game i play seems to run even better than the linksys if not the same as before. I have already checked the manual and the config page for the router and couldnt come up with anything relevant. is there a known issue regarding the airlink+ router and counter-strike?

could try disabling wireless zero service - [start//run//services.msc//wireless zero//disable] heard that can cause problems in CS. Otherthan that i dont have a clue.. Check the rates in CS config?

thanx for suggestions, i already have had wireless zero service turned off on all computers here except for the laptop. do rates in CS have to be different depending on the router in use?

change cables?

Change ports on the router?

other then that, I would bust out an old school hub and start grabbing packets!!
