I recently build the system below;

CPU - I7 875K 2.93GHZ 8MB
MoBo - GA-P55A-UD4 P55 (Bios: F14)
RAM - 2x2GB CORSAIR DDR3 XMS3 1333MHZ (9-9-9-24)
Video - XFX HD5870 (8.753.0.0)
HDD0 - INTEL X25-M 80GB SSD
HDD1 -SAMSUNG SPINPOINT F3 1TB
Power Supply - CORSAIR HX 850W
OS - Windows 7 Home 64bit

The problem that has occurred from the get go is seemingly random reboots.

Symptoms

-The reboots occurs without any warnings.

-The majority of reboots occurs while playing games.

-I can't see any consistency in the reboots, it can be after 5min or 3hrs of gaming.

-Sometimes, additional reboots occur a few seconds after accessing the desktop.

-The screen turns black but the computer stays on.

-An image consisting of gray/gren vertical lines takes up the screen.

-The systems temperatures are within the safe zone (CPU<70C GPU<80C).

Performed diagnostics

-Prime95 - torture test without errors.

-Furmark - 15min stability test without errors.

-Memtest86 - tested both sticks as single channel and then as dual channel with out any errors.

-Clean windows reinstall

Do you have the latest BIOS?

Have you tried running memtest86 or memtest for windows?

I would be looking at the memory as blazer suggests. Have you also made sure that your drivers are all up to date?

You should turn off automatic reboots so it shows you the blue screen error message.

Vertical lines, sounds like it could be the video card. Do you have another card or onboard video you can test the system with?

The automatic reboot function has been turned off for a while now but I havent gotten any BSOD. The computer either reboots, screen turns black/white/green/gray or shows the vertical lines.

When It shows the vertical lines the rest of the computer (sound, fans, hdd etc.) continue to function for a while before it either reboots or freezes.

If everything else checks out fine, you might want to look at the power supply. RAM would have been my first guess, but the intermittent frequency makes me think PS since your other components seem to check out.

This.

If you don't have another VGA pick a VGA intense test from 3DMark and run it constantly for a couple of hours. You should also keep an eye on the VGA temp.
