I hadn't noticed the X2 series as it was displaced by X3 and X Pro in the enthusiast crowd, but looks like as usual, any wintech sourced Ultra should be avoided. I, for one, think their andyson/seventeam sourced psus should still be on the list of good choices, but buyer beware on anything not.
Ultra kind of reminds me of Antec back in the truepower/smartpower days, when Antec's name was being dragged in the mud due to their rather low quality low end psus. I think they made a smart move to use FSP/Seasonic for their budget psus now. We certainly don't hear nearly as many problems as before. I wish Ultra would switch their wintech supplied psus to an oem with better build quality... I guess price beats out reputation in this case :/
