Bad RAM. Just thought I'd pass that along in case any of you ever encounter the message in Win2K. My baby started crashing earlier, turned out to be one of my sticks. Just goes to show you that even Crucial can make a bad one from time to time.

If you're cheap like me, you should run Memtest86 on that box and find out just how 'bad' it is. Usually it's only a page or so. There's also a badram patch for Linux that uses the info obtained from Memtest86 to work around the bad parts of the stick. Of course, this is assuming that you put that stick in a box running Linux.
