Unexpected Trip!!! FOR A WEEK!?!?!? How could I get my packages?

I'm expecting like 2 deliveries coming to me this week. And all of a sudden my dad says we're going on a week trip in NC or something (North Carolina). Will they be available in the USPS station after a week? I hope so.
 
You don't even have to go to the station. You can phone and have your mail held. I know that I can just put a note in my mailbox asking them to hold my mail from x date until y date and they deliver it all then. Several options available. The thing NOT to do is nothing so that the carrier is forced to lug your packages out fro delivery more than once.
