Unexpected shutdown (IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, 0xA)

So I have Windows 8.1, 64-bit installed on my 1 year old custom built PC. I pre-ordered GTA V in January and started to pre-load it today. I left the computer run all night (wich I never do), to finish the download. In the morning at 5 o'clock, I checked my PC to see how far did I come with the download. It was almost finished so I went back to sleep. I left it unlocked with just the monitor turned off. When I woke up for the last time, I was going to check my PC again and there it was, at the lock screen. I immediately knew something went wrong (a BSOD), for the first time ever!

I opened the "Event Viewer" and searched for that Critical error that should be logged. I found the error and like I assumed, it was a BSOD (unexpected shutdown). So I grabbed the BlueScreen Viewer on the internet to troubleshoot this issue and I found out that the error was IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, with a 0xA debug code. So I did a Memtest86 for 1 hour and it passed with 0 errors. So I thought to myself, it couldn't be the RAM sticks, right?

Now I'm just left confused without and answer and worried. I have attached a screenshot of the report from BlueScreen Viewer below. I hope someone can help me out here.

The system is overall stable as in rendering software as in games.

My system specs:

CPU: Intel Core i5 4670k (overclocked to 4.2GhZ)
Motherboard: MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming
RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 16GB, 2400Mhz (with XMP profile enabled)
PSU: Corsair RM750W
GPU: GIGABYTE GTX 780 WindForce 3X OC (+60 on core clock, +600 on memory clock, +5% power limit, + 0.375V)
Corsair H80i (water cooling)

Nvidia video errors are very common, but you say you haven't had any yet. I wouldn't worry to much, though I doubt it was a video error. How were the temps? that 4.2 over click, how did you adjust voltage for it? I would lean toward that, pretty sure @4.2 you don't need any voltage added just check what it gets to(make sure the board doesn't over volt it) with Intel Burn Test. I use the plus minus on my CPU adjust in the BIOS, up to 4.5 most performance board will auto adjust for it.

The temps on my cpu are 20-25 in idle so it couldn't have been that.. It's also water cooled, so it must be something else. I have 1.090 on core voltage and 1.065 on ring voltage.

One occurrence may not be enough to pinpoint the problem. Just know that Memtest isn't perfect. If you see the error again, run one stick of RAM at a time and see if the issue comes back.

When you google your error then you get the following: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff560129(v=vs.85).aspx

Clean up your page file by disabling it. reboot. your pc will then be super slow. Many things might not load so during boot time hold down your left shift key until you reach the windows desktop.
Now go through the process to defrag your hard drive. After defrag is complete then turn your swap file back on then reboot. Your pc should be much faster.

It's a 50/50 chance that your issue either with your pc memory or the swap file. At least we dealt with the other 50%.

I had some IRQ blue screen not too long ago and I think it was my videocard having problems. The PC was having trouble booting properly to the desktop as sometimes it would boot and eventually freeze, but often it would end up hanging at a black screen or giving some kind of blue screen error and restarting. I eventually got a new videocard, did a clean install of win 81. pro and I haven't had the same blue screen or booting issues anymore. I had one blue screen since the upgrade, but overall the PC has been working fine.

So could it be a videocard issue? Have you overclocked your videocard?
