True, if by constantly you mean 6 credit hours a semester. And sometimes they can get a private company to fund 3 of those credit hours as research.

Most teachers who do a good job don't do a good job because they're trained well. They're good because they like being there and they have good personalities and can connect with the kids.

The vast majority of bad teachers just have bad personalities, it's not about pay or training.

You cannot train a teacher to have a better personality. A bitter person will always be a bitter person.

And if you wanted to go even further, the majority of the kids who do bad in school, only do bad because of poor parenting or because the kids themselves are just lazy and dumb.

I think it's funny how they always say that wealthier school districts have better scores because the teachers and facilities are soooo much better, when in fact, for the most part, it's the kids who are just better (part of it natural intelligence and part good parenting).

I don't know too much about the exact rules professors has to follow in terms of hours and what not. But here at UCI, they hold at least 3 lectures a week, and 3 days of office hours (usually 2-4 hours a day depending on majors/teachers w/e), and then they have their research. Again you probably know more than I do, but i'm just speaking on experience.

but from what I stated above, thats already a pretty rigorous scheduel.

I would say thats a whole different context, spam usually comes by the dozen. Otherwise I wouldn't care if i just got 1-2 spam emails a day.

By this reasoning Pontifex would have a post so much, that you would have difficulty finding other topics to read.

However last time I checked, there isnt a ton of his posts on the first page.

The thing with teaching is, you have to bring your work home with you. You need to create lesson plans, grade papers/homework, refresh up on materials you're going over the next day, meet with students outside of class hours...ect. I prefer a job where I leave work at work.

no one is forcing you to read my posts. this forum offers a great tool for morons like yourself. next to the post, it has a column that tells you who created the post. that way, if its created by someone you don't like, you can skip it.

if you don't like me or think my threads are worthless, why the fvck are you even reading them? i swear, if some of you put half as much effort as you put into flaming and bashing people on this forum into something useful or constructive, i'm sure you would be better people - however unlikely that is anyway.
