Unexpected comp death; should I RMA processor while there's still reasonable doubt?

Hi. I was playing a not-too-intensive game last night and then my computer froze up unexpectedly. Hitting the reset button didn't do anything, and since then, my rig hasn't worked. When I try a cold boot, all of the appropriate lights and fans go on and I hear the hard drive begin to chug for a short moment, but then there's nothing. The monitor gets no signal at all and the computer doesn't respond to keyboard commands. I've tried swapping out the video card, the memory, and the power supply, but to no avail.

This leads me to believe that it's either the mobo or the processor, but I don't know which. Or could it be something else that I haven't thought of? I'm thinking about RMA'ing the processor, which is still under warranty with AMD, but I hesitate to do so before I know for certain that it's not the mobo.

One last note is that our microwave started acting weird yesterday morning. I'd like to think that it's just coincidence, what with the 12-hour-difference between the two events as well as the surge protector between my computer and the wall, but sometimes I just get a little paranoid. ... Could it be aliens?

Anyway, sorry that I'm asking for help or advice when I have so little info to provide on the problem. Thanks for any and all help and suggestions.

Here's my system:
AMD Athlon 1400
DFI AK76-SN mobo
512 mb DDR 2100 ram by Crucial (Tried swapping it with one 128 mb PNY stick)
350 watt Enermax PSU (Tried swapping it with a 350 watt Antec PSU)
Abit GeForce4 ti4200 vid card (Tried swapping it with a PNY GeForce4 mx420)

Thanks again.

I forgot to mention, I've also tried clearing the CMOS, and that hasn't fixed anything. And lastly, there's no beep at all from the computer when I try to start it up.
