I receive about 200 emails per day at work. Of those, 5 actually require my attention.

Scenario
From: John Doe
To: Jane Doe, Bobby Doe, ... [The World]
Subject: teh funnay

blah blah blahq
From: Bobby Doe
To: Jane Doe, John Doe, ... [The World]
Subject: Re: teh funnay

Thanks!

WTF!
Did thanking John for his spam really warrant a reply? Did it really warrant a reply to EVERYONE IT WAS ORIGINALLY SENT TO? Learn the difference between REPLY and REPLY ALL.

Scenario
From: John Doe
To: Jane Doe, Bobby Doe, ... [The World]
Subject: teh funnay

blah blah blah
From: Bobby Doe
To: Jane Doe, John Doe, ... [The World]
Subject: Re: teh funnay

I already had this one.

WTF!
Can John UNSEND the first fscking email now? Can he take ANY course of action? NO! NOT NECESSARY! Of course, since you two fscks are probably cut from the same cloth, you know, having the last name and all, he'll probably:

From: John Doe
To: Jane Doe, Bobby Doe, ... [The World]
Subject: Re: teh funnay

Sorry

WTF! NO ONE FSCKING CARES!!!!

Scenario
From: John Doe
To: Jane Doe, Bobby Doe, Aunt and Uncle Doe, 3rd and 4th removed Doe cousins, ...
Subject: Christmas Party

Be at my place at 5pm for dinner.
From: Bobby Doe
To: Jane Doe, John Doe, Aunt and Uncle Doe, 3rd and 4th removed Doe cousins, ...
Subject: Re: Christmas Party

Ok

WTF!
We don't all need to know that you can read, Bobby, you dumb prick. What if EVERYONE replied to EVERYONE letting them know that, yes, the email systems DO STILL WORK and WE ALL got the original message and we were ALL LITERATE ENOUGH TO READ IT?! Are you trying to bring the damn Internet down?!

Oh man, don't even get me started about people who 'reply to all' in the office and attach 1.5MB images to their messages.

i'm on a listserve for school.... people are always doing this! the funniest is when there is a job posting, and john clicks "reply" it gets sent to everyone... why they should hire john and a copy of john's resume.

lmao, someone did that recently, and I replied to them with:
"I'm not sure what you're talking about. Did you mean to send this to: (other person with the same last name)?"

They replied back to me with "No, I used the reply all so that everyone would receive it."

My reply to that started a small war: "Actually, I was trying to think of a polite way to say that you're one of the worst abusers of using "reply all" when using "reply" would be more appropriate. My previous reply was the only way I could think of to get you to reflect on that fact without sounding like a jerk. I suppose I have to sound like a jerk, but when we get a reminder: 'don't forget, meeting at 3:15', the other 50 of us don't need to have to delete your reply of 'okay.' "

I know how you feel. Our group was under the direction of another office about 50 miles away, and I'd get e-mails about cars in their parking lot with the lights on or how the south exit was closed for repair or something like that.

Replying to the x'mas party time makes sense to me, however I get annoyed by the other kind as well.

Why are people using their work e-mail to send e-mail forwards? That's unprofessional.

Maybe if you just reply to the sender.
