Undo ChkDsk??

One of my drives got corrupted, so I ran chkdsk and it scrambled up the content of a bunch of my media files. One movie file would have the content of another file. Is there a way to undo the changes chkdsk made. Also is there any other programs out there that can fix corruption like chkdsk but has an undo option and doesn't scramble up files?

Your files were most likely corrupted before you ran CHKDSK. All CHKDSK would have done is try to move files off of bad sectors on the hard drive, and split/copy files that were crosslinked (parts of multiple files point to the same physical location on the hard drive). If your files were crosslinked, all CHKDSK did was make them readable based on what the MFT (file allocation table) said about them. If you COULD undo what CHKDSK did, all that would happen is that you wouldn't be able to read the files at all...

Replace that drive as soon as possible, because you are most likely only going to continue having more data corruption the longer you operate that drive. First rule of drives acting unreliably: get what you can, while you still can, and move it to a good drive.
