Undisguised BMW M5 pic + 5er wagon and 6 convertible **Updated M5 pics 10/26**

Horrible is an understatement.

And worse yet, is the fact that the new 5-series body looks excellent on every facet except the front. So close, yet so far away.
 
I really like the 6 series. It may not have the purist BMW look, but it is certainly an eye catcher.
 
0-60 in 4.5 seconds... pretty nice, pretty nice. I'll still take a Supra (0-60 in 4.9) for reliabilty, sporty looks, and price vs. the cost of an M5. Only takes a couple Gs to get a TT Supra to 0-60 in 4.5ish seconds.
 
seeing as the E39 is one of the best looking cars ever made it'd be hard to better it, but to make its successor this ugly is just dumb. but bangle will point to good sales just like he does with the Z4, nevermind the fact that there was probably pent up demand and bmw could sh!t in a box and it would sell (see 1 series, i guarantee it sells well, it IS the bmw answer to the RSX after all)
 
The tall profile of the M5 makes it look so narrow up front. I don't think the "slanted" profile looks good from the back to the front, simply because it causes the roof line to look really high, especially in that particular shot.

Yet the M5 has 4 doors and can carry much more stuff than the Supra.. You can't compare the two cars with each other since their margets are totally different..

That being said, I'd rather have an RS6 than the new ugly looking M5. Looks way too tall, making the front look too narrow. Why can't they just stuff that motor in the last M5s.. best looking BMW to date I thought it was.
 
The 6 convertable needs to have a HARD-top for the segment that it's in. Hell, even Hyundai is going to be offering a Tiberon coinvertable with a hard top in the $20k range, why can't BMW offer it?
