I am asking because I heard that you could and was wondering how are they able to do that?

I know its no cheap feat thats for sure.

I don't need it but I just didn't think you could ever do this but I may be wrong.

If it was fresh water, probably... IF you let it dry out... Course they're might be rust...

Otherwise, no.

You can easily do this in 3 steps.

1. Send it to hard drive recoverer.
2. ???
3. Profit!

Open the drive, romove the platters, dry them out, clean them, put them in a new drive and attemtp to recover them. AFAIK that's generally the way they recover ANY damange disk.

you can practice at home.

take the computer you are posting on RIGHT NOW and put it in your bathtub. run the water. pray.

it will work.

It'll work better if you leave the power plugged in and the computer running.
