Just wondering if Undervolting is bad for your CPU.
For some odd reason I can make my prescott (478) go from 1.33V to 1.30V, but it makes one HELLOFA temperature difference (it's lower when you undervolt)

Just wondering, is it safe/will it have any bad effect?

The only bad thing that could happen is the CPU could become unstable. Run prime95 Small FFTs for 10+ hours, SuperPI 32m, and memtest to make sure you are still stable.

Heh. Stability eh? My system begins to throttle when at normal voltages. That's why I'm undervolting :p. I got some AS5 and some fans coming in (tomorrow or the day after), so it's just a temporary thing.

Thanks though.

Nope, that's exactly how AMD's cool & quiet works, that with lower multipliers.;)

but there's no reason for you to not try undervolting, keep reducing until you get stability problem then bump it back up a bit to regain stability.

I am running a 1.4v San Diego at 1.35. It is stable OC'd to 2420. It runs about 2*C cooler undervolted and overclocked that it does at stock. :D

I don't think so. When I run my Venice 3000+ at stock speeds (1.8GHZ) I drop the voltage down to 1.2v from the stock 1.4v. Works great, uses less power, makes less heat.
