Understanding memory

Hey all, Im trying to understand why the memory modules are priced so differently from the first one below, even tho it seems that the first one has a better cas latency and support for DDR 400! I just dont understand.... are the other memory modules better in someway thats not listed?

1) CORSAIR ValueSelect 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Kit System Memory - Retail
Cas Latency 2.5
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145440
$79.99

2) CORSAIR ValueSelect 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Kit System Memory - Retail
Cas Latency 3
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145480
$86.00 (more exp than one above but has a cas latency for 3!)

3) CORSAIR ValueSelect 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 333 (PC 2700) Dual Channel Kit System Memory - Retail
Cas Latency 2.5
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145439
$94.00 (why? its a ddr333!)

Of those three, the best is at the top and they get worse going down. The only explanation I can find for prices rising as you go down the list is the popularity of the better modules and the fact that nobody with any sense would buy anything but the first anyway (if the prices were the same). I say you just should not worry about it and get the top one in your list.

Exactly...

DDR333 (333MHz) is a slower clock speed than the DDR400 (400MHz). So, unless your running a processor that is on a 166MHz bus or slower, buying PC2700 is just a waste. Whereas a processor running at 200MHz bus will utilize PC3200 DDR much more efficiently.

I purchased #1 for my new system... good RAM, great price.
