Underruns and the like, PLEASE help

Ok, whenever I burn with either of my burners (32 and 48x liteons), it always underruns and i have to wait for the buffer to run back up

all 3 of my HDDs are ata100...i can transfer between any of them at 20mb/s+

I don't understand? Also, how come I can only rip at 2x?? Any suggestions? Adjust bios settings?
 
*finally*

48.72x writing speed...it was all in my windows settings, good think I don't mind screwing w/my decide manager (and taking off 5 other drives to test it *sigh*)
