Bob Odenkirk (not sure if I spelled that correctly)

Saul/Jimmy McGill in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.

Also, the guy that plays Mike Ehrmantraut (spelling?).

I'll 2nd some of you guys.
Terrance Howard - I saw Red Tails. Terrible movie. They had a palette of good story opportunities and made it numbing and formulaic. And they had ILM magic.
I fell asleep and woke up to this movie, and few minutes later, Howard's character straightens someone out. The dialogue was bad towards the end, it follows a cookie cutter script where he softens out and lets his subordinate go without punishment.
But, golly, Howard kind of made that scene awesome for a few moments.

Michael Pena - I pretty much enjoy everything is he in. He does it well, and if it wasn't for looking distinctive, he would have a bit more of the Gary Oldman morphing techniques.

My own offerings:
Dwayne Johnson - he will be forever typecasted in the same role. That's okay. He does the charismatic bro thing so well.

Armie Hammer - I would like to see more movies with him, he seems to do a good job even in mediocre movies.

Already been said but Don Cheadle for me as well. His supporting roles in a few movies have made those movies for me.

JK Simmons. Yeah, he recently won an oscar but I feel he's still underrated.

I agree. That is the only movie I know of where he played anything significant that was popular.

He seldom appeared playing minor ass roles like being a dad in Juno, etc.

For me:

Leonardo Dicaprio: Of course he's uber famous, but he was just a pretty boy for girls in Titanic & Romeo + Juliet. I wrote him off as a little sh*t at that time. As he got older, man, did he become a real man. He sort of caught my attention with Catch Me If You Can. But by Blood Diamond, I was applauding his acting chops. And holy hell, Revolutionary Road was jaw droppingly haunting. What a performance from the reunion of Kate Winslet and Leo. Both matured into some serious bad asses.

Yours?

Check out What's Eating Gilbert Grape. He was awesome then. This was before Titanic made him big so when i first saw the movie i thought it was a real tard playing the role :p
