The DX9 port of Fallout has a hot key for item highlighting. I would assume Underrail has something similar, as it's become a standard feature for isometric games. The non-rotatable isometric view of UnderRail is one of the things that keeps me from playing the original Fallout games now. Because the isometric view of walls frequently hides things that should be in plain sight, and I don't find lawnmowering a map to search for such things fun anymore.
3D models really do bring a lot of advantages to the table, and it's isn't 1997 anymore.
I did not know that. I have the GOG version - I guess that predates this improvement? The DX9 port of Fallout has a hot key for item highlighting.
It's user made, so it's a free download. That said, I don't remember for sure which mod I used, I think it's Timeslip Fallout engine tweaks, but there is also the Fallout Hi-Res Patch. It didn't change the gameplay in any way, just added a few usability features like the item highlighting, and mouse wheel support.I did not know that.
