Undernet just fricking sucks lately

ALL night tonight I've been trying to get onto IRC on Undernet servers (that being where neochat is and being the only channel I ever go to). Using the default list of servers that came with mIRC, absolutely every single Undernet server in the US was either full, unreachable, or couldn't be resolved, and a couple that denied me access.

So I went to overseas servers, and the SAME THING happened - all servers I tried were full or unreachable or wouldn't resolve (I tried several, but not ALL of them like I did with the US servers).

I know, IRC is popular and it's free to us users, but dear god at least get a network set up that isn't overloaded on an average night.

i can't get in either...this blows. anyone know what happened? is there anywhere that i can get a complete list of undernet servers? i cannot honestly believe the closest one is in atlanta or kansas. there must be one in this city.

So...what exactly is being attacked? It doesn't appear to be the Undernet servers themselves, unless I'm misreading the posts, but instead it's certain servers that provide the channel bots. Or do all Undernet servers run those bots normally, so they're all being attacked?
