I'm not getting them now, I'm currently using IE7. I guess that they are helpful in some ways.

K. thnx for replies

warp2search is the worst, but its growing like a fungus everywhere - and most go to windows live.com - MS attempt at being google.

@Duality210
Are you saying on the link I gave above you dont see ANY underlined/linked words???
I am using FF 1.5.0.9 FWIW

Edit: That reminds me of a story I read the other day that Amazon is investigating using a system that tracks how much you pay for items (what you are actually willing to pay) and will taylor the prices you see on their website to what they assume will tempt you to buy the item. Can you friggin believe that?

Now I do thanks to the link, I wonder if the Anandtech web team is aware of that.

I don't see any links other than those the author intended.

FF 2.0.0.2 + AdBlock Plus + FlashBlock

It's intellitext, built into the page to generate ad revenues for the site. Someone's gotta foot the bill for the site, better the advertisers than us.

O.K. thats what I wanted to know, its not just me. :thumbsup:
Ad Block + can stop it, and it is done with AT co-operation.
So, AT gets some revenue from the click thrus to the MS www.live.com search pages (among others)
Got it.
Thnx.

If you avoid them then it is the same as having them turned off. He either gets paid one lump advertising sum, or per click. Not by how many have it turned off or not.
