Undercooked baked potatoes make acemcmac want to cry

Hour & Half @ 450 in the oven makes them perfect. I use a cooking spike as well.

Or if you're in a hurry, poke some holes in the potato with a fork and put in microwave for 10 minutes on high.

Mini Red/White potatoes, chopped up into quarters.

Add olive oil/sea salt/grounded black peper/fresh Rosemary
Stir

oven @400-425 until golden brown

When I got my lower wisdom teeth removed, baked potatoes was one of my sole sources for any sort of sustenance. Was too lazy to bake them so I typically microwaved them for a while. Sadly I never got the hang of it and they were always hard in the middle 🙁 undercooked baked potatoes make me cry too

The bakers I normally use the size of small footballs. It takes A LONG time to get them to cook fully.

baked...

and oven>microwave

edit: oh ya, with sour cream, chives, butter, melted cheese... you know, all the good stuff 😀

I like my baked potatoes well done. Once, I was cooking one in the microwave, and when I opened the door, the paper towel that was wraped around the potato burst into flames.

Wow, really? That would require like ~160 inches of mercury, or about 5 atmospheres of pressure, or ~80 PSI inside your microwave. Do you normaly presurize it, or was this a one shot deal?

Potatoe, maybe. Potato, nope. I eat them whenever I go out camping. ~60 minutes in the bottom of the fire in aluminum foil, with a big chunk of butter wrapped with it. Mmmm...

I hit the potatoe button on the microwave. I can't tell any difference between a nuked one and an oven baked one other then I get to eat a hell of a lot sooner with the microwave.

Spend a extra $ 20 next time you buy a microwave and get one that has food presets.

Hah I tried using the preset but it must be for wimpy little potatoes, it only went for 3 minutes on medium I think. I had to end up doing it for around 8 or so on high

Potato Pierogis

delicious

baked potatoes are good; i do 425 @ 1hr which cooks them fine for me, some bacon (not bit, actual bacon) and some cheddar is great with it

i also like some seasoned fries. cut the potatoes, rinse in water; spin dry or pay dry. throw in a large bowl with some cayenne, a little salt, and whatever seasonings you like along with a couple tablespoons of flower (it holds the seasonings well and helps with crunchyness)

deep fry @ 325 for 2-3 minutes, remove from oil and heat to 375, then refry for 6 minutes
