It's always over over over... but has anyone tried going for the lowest clock?

It would be interesting to see 100MHz @ 0.07 volts or something, or 95MHz.

Lowest I've done is 800MHz, and it seems like it might be a fixed limit (though it was set with software, BIOS won't allow anything below x16), ran fine... ran about the same as my Pentium D @ 2.8GHz.

Near Threshold Voltage is around .3V, which is the lowest volts silicon transistors will switch at IIRC. That's probably without the complex circuitry in Ivy Bridge.

Intel is releasing a 1.1ghz Ivy.

Might as well just go as low voltage as you can to boot, and clock it whatever it can do at those volts.

Well lowest I can go via BIOS is 1600 @ 0.6v (3570K, which at least according to CPU-Z and others, will dip down to 0.584 at times), it'll do that fine... post-boot via software I can get it down to 800MHz, but that's still at 0.6v

I wasn't really looking for super-power-saving 24/7 configs or anything, just curious what the minimum someone got their i3/5/7 to work at.

Edit: K well combining software... RealTemp set modulation to <18% (anything below is still 800MHz)... then using AXTU (which is still limited to x16) to reduce the BCLK to 97.5~, I got down to 780.~MHz @ 0.6xx volts... then I made the mistake of changing pages, went back reduce the BLCK to 97... hit apply... crash... because the Multiplier had reset to x16 again...lol

Edit2: 762~ with 95.17 base... if I drop all the way down to 95.05 (minimum AXTU goes) it freezes, no mouse or keyboard input.

Edit3: did a bit of unsuccessful ResHacking... couldn't find a way to modify minimum/maximum's for either RealTemp or AXTU.

My 3770K is LinX fully loaded stable with only 0.636V at 1.6GHz.

Yeah I have my own little pet graph

But it's the sub-1600's that I'm looking for, I've seen all the "wow GHz" of Ivy Bridge, but you don't see the "cute MHz" ones...lol
