"Studies in the 1970s showed that children up to the age of 10 or so who lose fingertips in accidents can regrow the tip of the digit within a month provided their wounds are not sealed up with flaps of skin -- the de facto treatment in such emergencies.[14]"

I just cut off my left hand's index finger with surgical scissors. Can I sue the wikipedia if it doesn't grow back?

By "up to the age of 10", they're talking about years from the time they were born, not some sort of mental equivalent age. Also, that sentence doesn't say "all children."

What's the matter, idiot.....don't know the difference between an index finger and ring finger, for the first thing, and the difference between the tip of your finger and the end of your finger to the first knuckle? Damn...thought you may have been able to figure out those simple differences between what you showed, what you posted, and what Wiki said.

ps....tip of the finger is the section before the bone begins in the end of the finger, not to the first knuckle....dumbass.
