Under CPU'S and Over-clocking

Hi Again; this is Hotlips 2

Some of you gave me some information about what CPU was better; AMD Phenom 11 945 or Intel i5 560. What I thought would be best at present is to ask you if my spec below could be upgraded any more without spending too much more money. Please remember I like speed. I listened to what you had to say. Most of you suggested that I should keep what I had and not change over to the Intel CPU. Please give me the benefit of your advice.

My thread is still in there for reference.

My Operating System is:
MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
CPU AMD Phenom II X4 945 27 °C
Deneb 45nm Technology
RAM
4.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 669MHz (9-9-9-24)
Motherboard
Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. GA-770TA-UD3 (Socket M2)
Graphics
SMB2230 @ 1920x1080
ATI Radeon HD 4550 (Gigabyte) 48 °C
Hard Drives
733GB Western Digital WDC WD7501AALS-00J7B0 ATA Device (IDE) 34 °C
Optical Drives
ASUS DRW-24B1ST ATA Device
ATAPI iHAS124 A ATA Device
Audio
Realtek High Definition Audio

Thank you.

You need to tell us what you are using your computer for. For example, if you mostly play games you would need a faster video card. If you didn't play games a faster video card would be completely pointless.

If you want to burn DVDs faster, your going to need a faster DVD burner. If you don't have a problem with your DVD burning speed, a faster drive would be pointless.

If you want to transfer files faster over the network you are going to need a faster ethernet card and hard drive. If you don't have a problem with your LAN network speed, a faster ethernet card would be pointless.
