HI all you there,
well, this is the story, a friend of mine had been with CPU overheating problems a few time ago, because the systems hangs in everygame played, movie played, etc. so we decided to underclock it. first of all, the specs: MSI kt6 delta, AthlonXP 2400+, an 512Mb PC3200.
So, We just set the multiplier or core ratio to 6.5 (Was that a mistake??), hence the cpu frecuency would be 6.5*133=866, after that the PC didn't boot I mean no signal at all, and the monitor keeps in standby.
We decided then, Clear the cmos (adjusting the jumper in clear data) and after that, the system doesn't even turn on its power led, once again we left the jumper in its deaful state (keep data) but It didn't work either, the power led turns on, but the system doesnt boot. finally my questions are:
Did we broke something?
Is there another thing to do?
Does the atlhonxp have a minimum frequency operation?
p.s. The bios doesn't emit any beep code.
Thank You
