Unconfirmed paypal address- Risky?

Well......
sold an item on ebay and the bidder payed me using paypal -
it says that it is an unconfirmed paypal address and I will not be covered by the paypal seller protection policy -
What does this mean?
Am I taking a risk by shipping to this person?
Dont know if it makes any difference but he is from Canada

i usually gave about 3 days ... to see if it was fraudulent or anything..

Hi,

FYI...International users can't supply a confirmed address. The avs screen that is available to domestic cards is not available to most international credit cards. All international accounts would have an unconfirmed address.

What I would do is wait for the paypal funds to clear to my bank account before shipping. But that only works if you keep nothing in paypal.
