Hi
Will a Pentium 2*500 run as a pentium 2*450?
As the motherboard jumpers only support up to a 450.

The fastest Pentium II is a 450MHz model. There isn't a Pentium II 500MHz. There is a Pentium III 500MHz though.

In either case, it doesn't matter. The processor has its own multiplier circuitry on board and ignores multiplier jumper settings on the motherboard. Your processor should work as long as you update the motherboard BIOS.

from what i understank the first p3's were jest upgraded p2's fo if your fsb is at 100 it should work. try to up grade your bio's jest to be sure
