you mean "UNLOCKED with pencil". AMD Athlon Socket A chips, and AMD Duron chips come with the multiplier "locked". You can unlock the multiplier by connecting the L1 bridges with a pencil, which would aid in overclocking. Some of the newer (1.3ghz & up) thunderbirds come unlocked & don't need to be "penciled".
