Does it strike anyone else here as slightly strange to discount the ability of 'unqualified' people such as rockers to opine on politics... on a board that is entirely devoted to 'unqualified' people opining about politics who at least in some way expect people to listen to them?

Don't worry, I don't listen to your opinions either. What's the big deal? Opinions are generally worthless no matter who spouts them. What interests me are ideas.

Well, in this case I would say that the point made by Eskimospy contains a valid idea about one aspect of the strange. And your opinion that opinions are worthless begs the question as to why everybody is so in love with their own.

Ted reminds me of our own washed up singer song writer, no one really pays attention to him unless he says something stupid or offensive.
