Uncle says router slowing down internet

There is probably a little bit of overhead but it shouldn't be noticeable. But if you want to check for yourself plug it directly into one of your computers and test.
 
Just moved to a router based setup from a direct connection to one the PCs. Myu uncle was the host, and I think hes the onlyu one noticing the slow down. Maybe its my ISP, cuz the local websites are fine.
 
I'm kinda confused, is he now sharing his connection with multiple PCs? If so, then he might be noticing that his speed is slower when another PC is using the connection too? If that's not the case, then try showing him download speeds with and without the router. There shouldn't be much of a difference. Make sure you download from the same site for both test runs.
