unchecking a checked box in a browser?

if theres a list of choices on some website for which youre supposed to choose one, and youve clicked a choice already, is it possible to uncheck the box/bubble?

If you're talking about radio buttons then no, there isn't. Well, for the end user there isn't, you can do that programmatically.

IIRC check boxes can always be unchecked.

those aren't checkboxes. those are radio buttons.
