Uncharted demo next Thursday, 11/8.

On the official PlayStation blog, Amy Hennig, the game director behind Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, announced that a playable demo for the title will hit the PlayStation Store next Thursday, November 8th. The demo is said to contain the first four levels of the game, which is now set to hit stores on November 19th, a day earlier than planned.

The new release date is quickly approaching, and being as what we've seen of the game recently has been quite impressive, you should start counting the days. Stay tuned for more coverage on Uncharted: Drake's Fortune from us soon.

VERY good news. Im highly interested in this title. Hopefully most of the hype is matched with gameplay.

Uncharted will indeed be good....I Hope. If not there's always Assassins Creed to backup the month of November.

I only played part 1, which was awesome. I didn't play part 2 or the following one on PS2, however I heard it was a lot more of a shooter than a platformer, if you know what I mean.

I think I'm going to pick em up though this winter to check em out.

There were actually 4 R&C games for the PS2. The first one, which was just titled Ratchet & Clank, and then Going Commando, Up Your Arsenal, and Deadlocked. IMO, all were great. But the one many fans didn't care for was the last one, Deadlocked. It didn't have Clank as a playable character and it was more focused on area style fighting.... but it still did have some platforming elements in the form of navigating obstacle courses. Still, I really liked it. Perhaps not as much as Up Your Arsenal, but still a great game.

This thing comes out tomorrow, I'm anxious to try it out since you PS3 guys on here have been hyping it up. Plus, I have faith in Naughty Dog to know what makes a game fun, so we'll see.

When does the PS store typically update with the new stuff?

so....

anyone get it yet? i gotta wait till i get home, wasn't sure if anyone gotit before work or late last night.

Not sure, there doesn't seem to be a set time other than "Thursday". It usually seems to happens while I'm at work, but I've come home from work before (around 5:30pm CST) and found that the update still wasn't live. That's only happened a couple of time though.

I received a press package from Sony yesterday that was related to Uncharted. I normally dont bring these kinds of things up because they're so trivial--but this one in particular was pretty cool.

When I opened the smallish box (the size of a book), there was an unidentifiable item wrapped in bubble wrap. I peeled away the bubble wrap revealing an old old book. The book looked to be very old and worn. Water damaged and tattered, I opened up the book to find some pages describing the adventures of English explorer Francis Drake (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francis_Drake). Going a few pages in, revealed that the book was actually hollow. Inside the books empty chamber there were some photographs of an isle, media disks (DVDs), soundtrack to the game, a map (when held up to the light reveals what appears to be a trail leading to some treasure?) and a press book on the game, the supporting cast, and some of the games tech.

It's meant to be an attention grabber, and it was. What can I say? I'm a sucker for Indiana Jones and Tomb Raiding. 🙂

I can take pictures if anyone is interested.

I'd like to see some pictures. Any specific reason they sent that to you? Or did they just send it out to random Underground members or something similar?
